Originally released in 1997, the Kelly Ado was redesigned and re-released in 2018, seventeen years after being discontinued from its original production. The new Kelly Ado II is 22cm at its base, a variation from the original which came in either 20 or 28cm sizes. Leather examples are found in a multitude of colors, though the rarest Ado IIs are exotic versions done in Matte Alligator. This example is doubly rare for its color: Gold. This shade has been a staple of Hermès production for decades, but only recently was it rendered as an exotic. Matte Gold Alligator bags are extremely rare and sought-after by Hermès collectors.
